I am looking forward to joining you all on Friday with my fellow Governor - Jacqui Cartwright.  I am not entirely sure what I shall be able to contribute to the discussions, but rest assured I won't be silent.  It 's an ideal opportunity to get to know you and to learn from you.  I have read with interest your contributions on this site and realise that we have some challenging times ahead.

I was a parent Governor and now am a Community Governor and I feel a greater responsibility to the school now that my son has left Highfield but I can't really explain why.   I want to know more and understand more than I presently do.  I am particularly interested in the PLTS Framework as I have spent the greater part of my working life on these 6 subjects, but working with adults.  To me these things are simply lifeskills. 

My personal objective for the event is to listen, learn, ask questions and enjoy!!
