Hello all
A few of my thoughts!

We need space indoors for kids to spend time in free time
Common rooms for prefects, sub-prefects
Minimal movement between lessons
Staggered lunches to be considered
ICT network / system must be smooth and allow simple recording
Get out of Blackpool server system!
Synchronisation software to make working at home easier
Email homeworks
Courses must have meaning in the workplace (and at College)
Input from businesses / colleges about what they are looking for in a student
Recording achievement through 5 years at school must be much easier
Smart Science labs
Question 1: rollover should be at least 6 weeks before summer break - ideally immediately after SAT's and tie this in with Yr11 TT being suspended. Last year the changeover was too late! We must not allow some departments to dictate when the changeover will be by not being ready and requesting a postponement - they need to be properly organised!
Question 3: BSF: outdoor space indoors, segregated areas for Y7, Y8, etc, 2 canteens in different places to avoid all kids in one place at one time?
Thanks Gavin plenty to get your teeth into here; It is also looking like many staff are having similar ideas - particulalrly about the 'silly' way we move kids around our school!

Hi all
More stuff from me!
BSF: suite offices together for HoH, LG, etc and post office staff within area. One big conference room (12 - 16 seater), plus 3 or 4 small meeting rooms (4 -6 people) bookable centrally so that we donot have to have meetings in rooms being worked in. Much more professional!

Thanks Gavin - I though your comments on Question 6 were powerful. However, we must address the issue that under the system we run now - out of school activities can deminish academic progress. The need to find a solution to the problem of children not being able to be in two places at once is now urgent!

How about 4 and a half days in lessons with 1 afternoon off like Montgomery do?

Yes that and a number of other ideas need urgent consideration.
